How racism has changed the scenarios for people.

Racism is a blight on the human conscience.

Racism is much more than a hassle or an annoyance. It has real and direct consequences. Those who experience it pay the price emotionally, psychologically, mentally and in some cases even financially and physically.

To argue that racism is harmless is to totally ignore the psychological and social damage that can result from always being considered This feeling was well summarized by one of the participants in the inquiry:

Research psychologists have studied the psychological effects of racism and found that “victim effects” of racism include post-traumatic stress disorder and other forms of stress-
related disorders, perceptions of race-related threats.

Research psychologists have also examined the effects of racism on broader society and have learned that societal effects fear, dissociative syndrome etc.It has also revealed that the impact of racism extends beyond those who directly experience it. It also impacts on families, friends, classmates, and neighbours. This means that the social and economic cost of racial profiling is widespread.

This explains why racism is a harmful practice and illustrate the need for strong measures to combat profiling.
