How racism has changed the scenarios for people.

Racism is a blight on the human conscience. Racism is much more than a hassle or an annoyance. It has real and direct consequences. Those who experience it pay the price emotionally, psychologically, mentally and in some cases even financially and physically. To argue that racism is harmless is to totally ignore the psychological and social damage that can result from always being considered This feeling was well summarized by one of the participants in the inquiry:   Research psychologists have studied the psychological effects of racism and found that “victim effects” of racism include post-traumatic stress disorder and other forms of stress- related disorders, perceptions of race-related threats.   Research psychologists have also examined the effects of racism on broader society and have learned that societal effects fear, dissociative syndrome etc.It has also revealed that the impact of racism extends beyond those who directly experience it. Instead, power offers a possibility to create because nothing can be created without power. It is only when power becomes a means to dominate that power becomes ugly and paves way for corruption. To be powerful is not a folly. It is very important that every human being should be a powerful human being because the opposite of being powerful is being powerless or weak. Weakness should not be celebrated just because power has been misused by some. Power by itself is not corruption. When human beings hankering for dominance get hold of power, it becomes a source of corruption. If human beings have a larger sense of identity within themselves and are seeing what they can create for everyone’s wellbeing, then power is a wonderful thing, and every human being should be a powerful human being. Power does not co...
